Volunteer Opportunities

The Lexington Interfaith Food Pantry is a non-profit organization staffed entirely by volunteers,
some of whom have been volunteering since its inception in 1990!
Our volunteers come from Temple Isaiah, Hancock United Church of Christ,
Lexington Catholic Communities of Sacred Heart  and St. Brigid’s parishes, First Parish, along with other individuals.

Opportunities for High School Students

Volunteers MUST be of high school age and community service hours are
provided  year-round for high school students who live in Lexington

Other Volunteer Opportunities:
  • We are seeking regular volunteers to help support our operations on Saturday mornings.  The current need is for a Registration Coordinator.  This role involves, greeting clients, managing the distribution of orders and overseeing the activities of the high school volunteers.  This role requires at least a one-year commitment.  We we are hoping to train multiple volunteers who can work on a weekly rotation.
  • We are seeking volunteers who can commit making deliveries to clients between 12:30 - 1:30pm on Saturdays
